BIOGRAFÍA

Cynthia Candelas es conocida como una show-woman arriba del escenario, es cantante, música, beatmaker, compositora, dramaturga, artista escénica y rapera.

Desde niña estudio de forma profesional danza y coreografía en el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y en la UNAM, después teatro, comedia del arte, teatro físico y mima con el Teatro Línea de Sombra, el Circo de Quebec y en la Escuela de mima Omnibus en Montreal, Canadá. Formó parte de los talleres de la Superior de Música, después estudio la carrera de composición y canto, música electrónica, así como composición digital en el DIM, en la Escuela de Artes Ciencia y Tecnología y en el Centro de Investigación Musical CIAM.

Comenzó su proyecto en 2015 con 3 grandes influencias, los ritmos latinos comúnmente escuchados en el barrio y en las fiestas como el mambo, cha cha cha, salsa, cumbia, norteño, así como pertenecer al grupo de danza, música y canto tradicional colombiano Yuka. La otra fue su fascinación por el post punk, los sintetizadores de los 80´s y la experimentación sonora y el rap como parte de una expresión poética urbana popular y contestataria.

CON EL FUEGO ADENTRO fue su primer disco, el cual surgió de una experimentación en su primera transición de lo análogo a lo digital con el que fue invitada a Festivales de Cine y poesía en Costa Rica y Guatemala.

ELECTROPICAL POWER fue su segunda producción en el cual inlcuyó las versiones de sus temas en colaboración con Djs y sonideros de México con el que es invitada a Colombia al Festival de Mujeres que Cuentan su Historia.

LA HORA DEL PERDÓN es su tercer material en un estilo más de cumbia comercial romántica con el que participa en el Tropijam de la estación de radio Tropicalísima 1350 quienes la mencionan como la nueva FEM CUMBIA PUNK.

Con el tema LOS SANTOS es invitada a participar en el Festival de Cine 48 horas y en KINO FESTIVAL.

Participó en el tributo de José José y Juan Gabriel por Mashup México.

Fue parte del programa de TV Música de barrios, la nueva cumbia de la Ciudad de México.

Cynthia Candelas is known as a show-woman on stage, she is a singer, musician, beatmaker, composer, playwright, performing artist and rapper.

ELECTROPICAL POWER was her second production in which she included versions of her songs in collaboration with DJs and sonideros from Mexico with whom she was invited to Colombia to the Festival of Women Who Tell Their Story.

LA HORA DEL PERDÓN is her third material in a more romantic commercial cumbia style with which she participates in the Tropijam of the Tropicalisima 1350 radio station who mention her as the new FEM CUMBIA PUNK.
